About the Institute

Who we are

The Institute for Governance & Leadership is a privately held, independent organization, headquartered in the Netherlands. It is registered at the National Chamber of Commerce since 2007. Co-founders and partners are Daniel Le Gras and Patricia Le Gras-Macdaniel.

Our Clients

Our clients are experienced leaders in public and private sector organizations both in formal leadership positions and informal leadership roles. For example Board members, Executive and Non-Executive Directors, CEO's, entrepreneurs, politicians, religious leaders, professionals, reporters, public influencers.

Our Services

Internationally, we share 45 years of professional experience in our leadership services (in English). Nationally, we facilitate Board assessments (in Dutch) for almost 20 years.

Our Leadership

Daniel Le Gras, LLM

Daniel loves to share his 45 years of professional expertise in economic development, management consulting, interim-management, coaching & training, and Board assessment. He has facilitated many self-assessments for Boards of Directors of public and private sector organizations, such as national hospitals and universities. He is the author of several workbooks on governance and leadership (Dutch) and our Program for Exceptional Change Leadership (English).

He holds a master's degree in European Law (LLM) and professional degrees in Company Direction (Institute of Directors, UK) and Executive Coaching (Corporate Coach University International, USA).

He was a senior lecturer in corporate governance and leadership at several Dutch business schools and the academies of three national Non-Executive Director Associations for almost 20 years.

Patricia Le Gras-Macdaniel, LLM, MBA

She loves to connect with clients and make sure they are having a great customer experience. As a business consultant and change leader, she supported Dutch Businesses in their transition to the Euro in the early 2000s. She was an academic lecturer and researcher in European Law & Policy at the National Dutch Open University, and several national Administrative Academies. She also organized fully-booked symposia and events for lawyers and other legal experts.

She holds a master's degree in European Law (LLM), an MBA degree in Strategic Management from Henley Business School, UK, and an Executive Coaching degree (Corporate Coach University International, USA).

Daniel and Patricia's combined cross-sectoral experience and multi-cultural private background, enable them to better understand and be of service to a broad spectrum of clients.
